You'll be amazed decaf can taste this good. Our Detour Decaf is a delightful blend from smallholder producers in Colombia's Cauca region. Featuring Caturra, Colombia, and Typica varieties, these beans undergo traditional Washed processing and are dried in parabolic dryers. The decaffeination process, performed by Descafecol, uses ethyl acetate (EA), a natural compound from sugar cane, and high mountain spring water. This method, known for its gentle and efficient caffeine removal, preserves the beans' natural flavors better than many other decaffeination processes.

Cauca's unique terroir, with fertile volcanic soils and a climate of warm days and cool nights, contributes to the region's renowned coffee profile. The result is a delicately balanced decaf with hints of confection-like sweetness. Experience the rich flavors of The Detour, crafted with care for a caffeine-free coffee experience.

Why "The Detour"?

We named this blend "The Detour" as a tribute to the unexpected paths life takes us on. Originally, we planned to announce this decaf alongside a pregnancy announcement, but after experiencing a miscarriage, the name became a way to honor the journey. It reflects our belief that life, with all its detours, is still a beautiful adventure.
