NEW! - José Gómez Catisic Coffee - Honey Process
We’re honored to share this exceptional lot from Finca La Bendición in the mountains of Palencia, Guatemala, produced by José Gómez.
José and his family focus on harmony with the land, cultivating shade-grown coffee among avocado, banana, and orange trees while avoiding herbicides and enriching the soil with organic matter. Their chosen variety, Catisic (a hybrid of Timor and Caturra) thrives here at 1,800–2,000 meters, developing extraordinary sweetness and resilience.
This honey-processed Catisic coffee offers layered richness and depth. The aroma gives us candied red fruits (think Amareno cocktail cherries) and creamy vanilla. When the cup is hot, we taste warm brown spices and baker’s chocolate. As the cup cools, a round cinnamon comes through along with a lingering cola-like finish.
TL;DR -- This is cold-weather comfort coffee at its finest.
